Hello,

I seem to recall in older version of Winventory the ability to specify subnets to audit. Is this still possible? Using AD for objects to audit is cool but it is very DNS dependant I would think. I would like to specify 10.11.24.0/24 if possible and have open-audit roll through the entire range. It would be nice to specify multiple subnets in one config file but I am open to having a config file for each subnet if need be.

Thanks in advance!

Good question, the NMAP script will audit all of the IP devices in a particular IP subnet, but I cant think how this will work with WMI, since you will need a username and password to connect for each box if it is not part of a domain (even if the username and password is the same for every box).

You could create a computers.txt file with every IP address on your subnet... plus a suitable user and password (quick bit of VBS or 5 mins with notepad should do the trick).

Thanks!
