Well, it's done.
The initial release of Open-AudIT up available.
Now for the bad parts - it has no groups (hardware or software). It has no Ticketing (and won't have).
The good parts - it is pretty much language independant. If you speak anything other than English, and would like it translated, download it, and open the file include_lang_english.php. Save it as include_lang_(your language).php. Edit the file, and replace all the English with your words. Email me the (zipped) file. I shall include it in the next release (along with an option in the setup to use it). If you want to use it for yourself, open the file include.php and replace Line 3 with your filename.
There is an initial Linux Audit script in the scripts directory. This is untested on anything other than Ubuntu 6.06. You must run it with sudo, and you must have wget installed (for the upload).
There is also an initial linux Nmap script. You also need sudo to run it, and wget for the upload. There is only single IP Addresses available at the moment - looping thru a subnet to come very shortly.
On the subject of Nmap - it works across subnets now, too. Obviously it can't record the MAC Address of the device, but it checks the DB for the IP Address, and uses that.
Please don't use this initial release for production - it is stable, but NOT finished by a LONG way.... Please post questions to the relevant forums.
On with the show !!!
