Hello All -

I installed and configured Open-Audit this weekend and believe that I have it working the way it's intended. So far, I've configured the audit.config only with the network information required for permissions and ip ranges, but other than that, run my scans with defaults.

My Goal(s)

- I was given the task of creating a list of a few basic computer inventory items, but was asked to be able to have my list be able to be sorted by IP and/or username (Current Computer's User).
- One possible way, i guess, would be to export to csv and sort with Excel, but cannot find the option to do so
- Instead of the two above, it would ideally be great to be able to have the team be able to pull open this database instead of a printed sheet, enter a username, then get all results about their machine.

I ran a scan for one location which displayed information for 42 machines. When I manually click on a hostname and browse the information for that machine, I can see it lists the "Current User." I cannot, however, find a way to search by "Current User".

I'm not sure if it's a common use, but is there a 3rd party app that would suit my needs better that the Open Audit information can be exported to instead?

Thanks for your help! - Ben

The Search box on the right works for me when I put in a login name.

One way is to customize a standard view (report) with the info you want. The FAQ has a quick explanation. I would suggest modifying a copy of list_viewdef_all_systems_more.php. This already has the username and some computer info. You'll need to look in the database for the available fields you can use. You'll need to modify the SQL at the beginning if your data isn't in the SYSTEM, PROCESSOR or HARDDRIVE tables.
