We're using open audit.vbs to make an inventory of some 350 pc's in about 10 different LANs. Some of these pc's run Win2K, others WinXP prof. All of these pc's run audit.vbs on startup (we installed that functionality via a small custom script, not via GPO, since not all of these pc's run in a domain, let alone the same domain). A considerable number of the pc's involved, mostly win2K pc's, get the following error on executing the audit.vbs: "Wscript.exe has encountered problems and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program...". Since windows eventviewer doesn't enlighten us in any way regarding this error, we were wondering what is causing this error and how to deal with it? Anyone else experienced the same?
Any help greatly appreciated...
