I would like to set up a report for I.E. and Firefox proxy settings, and an RSS feed for any machines where the proxy is off (or perhaps changes from a predefined set of rules), but I am scratching my head a bit when it comes to coding this, any ideas?

Which part are you stuck on? I briefly looked and the current audit.vbs script doesn't seem to capture proxy settings, so you would need to start by capturing this information and then the easy part would be creating views for it. Have you started at all or what have you done so far? I'd like to help you out with this.
