Just had a thought, can we sum the processor speed of all of the processors in all of the machines in the database, sum the memory of all of the machines, and sum the disk space. This would give us a set of "Grid" computing figures, i.e. the amount of computing power we could use if we ditched the venerable Windoze OSes and clustered all the boxes with Linux.
Complete nonsense probably, but fun in a childish, "my networks better/faster/bigger than your network" kind of a way, and just the sort of statistic to throw in to management meetings.
Dont think I'm going to come too close to this though..
