Another one "Great tool, but ..."
May be your have some reason to store database not in UTF or some thing like ... , and whole site too. BUT. If your convert "national" characters in some way, who should decode them? ;)

Things like that is not best for find some software in list.

Another related trouble - if decoding back, which charset use? Possible, it should be additional field inside language choice.

I am no developer, but UTF-8 in Database should be fine and then running in less problems with all related scripts/software.

Currently Mark is working on a "database neutral" version, (i.e. one which doesn't rely on MySQL as the backend, but can use MSSql, Postgre etc). I think this will use UTF, but I am unsure.

Yes, the database is UTF8 compliant.
You must also use UTF8 safe functions within PHP.
Am endevouring to do this as much as possible - so Open-AudIT v2 should be very close to being UTF8 compliant out of the box.
