Why don't we add in details for Software Support to the Software Register.
What I am thinking of is this.. Quite a lot of software has contracted support, and this is renewed usually annually, but in some case more frequently. (Anti Virus Subscriptions etc). If you add in a few more fields for the Software Company Address, the contract number, renewal date, frequency of renewal etc, then you can look for contracts due next month, costs for software support for the last year and so forth. That way you shouldn't be caught out by missing an important renewal on your mission critical software.
Another neat trick would be to use the methods from the Hardware Warranty details page to highlight all machines which will go out of warranty in the next 'N' days, weeks months etc. and all those machines without warranty, or with unknown warranty status. This might be a little more complex, however it is do-able with a little thought.
