SYDI open-source network documentation project (
http://sydiproject.com/) could offer to developers some ideas to further improve OA great project.
Some information provided only (or in a different way) by SYDI:
- CPU L2 cache size
- CPU enabled features (i.e. Hyper-threading and so on)
- Total memory (OA shows it in system summary, not in hardware - memory section)
- Video controller adapter RAM (not always detected in OA)
- BIOS characteristics (OA shows only basic information)
- Windows installed components
- all IP addresses configured for every network card (OA shows only one IP address, but sometimes lists hostname with another detected IP address, like in cluster nodes)
- all network cards (OA shows only one network card)
- all DNS servers (OA shows only primary one, like for WINS)
- IP routes
- Event log files configuration
- Running processes
- More detailed startup commands (OA shows command path on a pop-up window only)
- Virtual memory
- Windows registry size
