It would be an incredible feature to add your own "saved" custom queries to the menu. For instance being able to find all of the optical drives on a domain etc. It would probably be a bit of work to create a nice UI for that, but just defaulting to letting someone enter the sql they want would work for us here. That would make this utility so much more powerful :)

This functionality was in Winventory. I'm guessing Mark is working on it, since yes, it is very useful :)

Yeah, it would be nice.
I have security issues, though.
Some people want "outsiders" to be able to view pages relating to their PCs.
Obviously, you don't want these people to be able to run queries across the whole DB.
The solution (I think), is to improve the permissions on Open-AudIT to more than just access / no access. That way an "Admin" can access everything, customers can view their equipment, software, etc - but not everyone elses, not delete systems, not alter stuff, etc.

Definately included in the "To Do".
