Just wanted to throw this out there for those who are installing on a new system with updated MySQL, phpmyadmin, etc.

Phpmyadmin creates an alias for javascript that overrides the javascript folder in the openaudit directory, and renders all javascripts useless.

I commented out the Alias found here:

/etc/javascript-common/javascript-common.conf

And now the javascript functions in openaudit work as expected. Hope this helps someone, as this was beating me senseless last week, and could not find any suggestions that were even resembling my problem. Honestly, most people thought I configured something incorrectly.

Hope this helps.
