Hi,

I noticed some weired package names that have been detected on quite a few systems I am trying to audit. First they showed up with a "%" at the beginning of the software name. I activated utf8 in the audit config, now it looks different, but not better. What is in common is that this only seems to affect MS Software.

Does anybody have a clue what might cause this and how to get around this issue.

Regards,

Jens

Same thing here...been happening for a while. I've been running a script after my audits that clears the software table of any names that start with a %.

But this kill software counters.
I can`t check myself now because at moment new version don't post software at all ... Existing old version process UTF8 correct.
