Ubuntu 7.10 and Debian 4.0 don't work with the HAL method but work fine with dmidecode.

Please add
oa_hal_missing="yes"
to the case block starting on line 1074 in audit_linux.sh

What data isn't reporting correctly with HAL?

I get a lot of this under the System Model section if I use HAL on Gutsy 7.10 or Etch 4.0 (Dell & IBM Wks & Svr):
usage : hal-get-property --udi <udi> --key <key>
[--hex] [--help] [--verbose] [--version]

--udi Unique Device Id
--key Key of the property to get
--hex Show integer values in hex (without leading 0x)
--verbose Be verbose
--version Show version and exit
--help Show this information and exit
HAL & other necessary stuff are installed.

Also, with dmidecode, I have to use system-serial-number instead of chassis-serial-number. Those two are the same on our Dell systems (Wks & Svr) but on IBM ones, there's only system-serial-number while chassis-serial-number is "Not Specified".
