Hi,

I have some new systems deployed.

they have the following CPU: x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 6

In OA it is labeled as: Intel Pentium III Xeon processor
In reality it is: Intel Core 2 Extreme CPU X9770 @ 3.20GHz

Any ideas?

Jason

Think this may be the problem...
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953955
... however as it is a Windows problem, you can either ask Micro$oft for the hotfix, or wait till the next SP/Update.

I see the same problem at home (Dell 1310 laptop.... as follows)

Index: CPU0
Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
Type: x86 Family 6 Model 22 Stepping 1
Model: Intel Pentium II processor <= 2Ghz Pentium II, I dont think so!
Socket Type: ZIF Socket (U2E1)
Max Speed MHz: 1995
Current Speed MHz: 1995
External Clock: 533
Current Voltage: 33 <= Another issue, this will be 3.3v and not 33V, the last CPU that ran at 33v was probably in a PDP11 in about 1982 :?

The voltage issue may be an OA issue, or at least something we can code for, if 33 is the answer WMI provides, we can recode as 3.3v

If you try the hotfix, let us know the results please.
