Post subject:  Active Directory logon authentication running on Linux Serve

I'm attempting to get Active directory authentication to work on OAv1.

I followed the instructions in FAQ, but the instructions seem like they are for Open-Audit running on Windows servers, and was wondering if the instructions are different for Open-Audit running on a Linux server.
I was able to get the AD authentication to work using google chrome browser only. Internet Explorer and Firefox do not work.

FF and IE give me this error
"The server open-audit at PHP Secured requires a username and password." in a separate popup after I enter in my credentials into the logon screen.
I uploaded the screenshot.

On a Linux machine, I don't think the extensions are the same.

Update:
I just tried logging in again, but using the wrong password, and the webpage does tell me the login is incorrect. So it appears it is verifying the credentials, but don't know why I get the extra logon box when I type in the correct credentials which never works as shown in the screenshot.

Update 2: Resolved
I feel like an idiot now after spending many hours on this.
I forgot to uncheck "Use Passwords" under Admin -> Config -> Security under the Authentication part of the page.
