Hi Guys,
I just got my Open-AudIT server up and running today and completed my first login script and nmap network scan. Pretty cool stuff.
I work in a print shop and as such have lots of Macs to audit along-side of the Windows PCs and servers. I've seen a couple of sparse postings pertaining to coding a Mac audit script, but I was wondering if there was any progress made?
I'm a PHP hacker and have access to various Macs at different operating system versions, so I might be able to lend a hand, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel so to speak if there has been any significant progress made.
I have access to:
Intel Macbook with OS X 10.5 "Leopard" PowerPC G4 with OS X 10.4 "Tiger" PowerPC G5 with OS X 10.3 "Panther" PowerPC Xserve with OS X 10.3 "Panther" Server
All of the above use the system_profiler script and have XML output capability. I'll need to generate a sample on each and compare the XML to make sure there isn't any versioning required to be compatible with all three operating systems.
At the very least I can offer to test any scripts that have been coded to date.
Look forward to your input.
