Hi all,

I wanted to get some input on setting up a OA server on a VM. I have a vmware environment setup for most of my servers now, and I wanted to add my OA into that as well. Right now I have a setup on a XP workstation that handles everything for me. I want to setup a lightweight linux vm to replace my xp workstation. I was thinking ubuntu server myself. What have you guys had the best luck with? What have been some of your best practices for setting up an OA server?

Personally, I use and develop on Ubuntu.
Ubuntu Server works great.
Also, OAv2 will have features SPECIFIC to a Linux install. I have no idea if these features will be available under Windows. I don't know if compatible programs exist (for instance arpwatch), and have no real desire to investigate. OAv2 is being designed to run as an appliance - either in a VM, or a physical machine. This machine will be based on Ubuntu Server (probably Jeos).

Just my 2cents. :D
