I haven't used the product in about a year and it went freemium while I was gone. Understood, that's all great.

The problem is I have spent hours searching and I can't find a good set of data on what's different, how to make it different, etc. I'm using the community version, which I THINK I can just install and use no problem, unfortunately it looks like it's limited to 20 devices, when it looks like it shouldn't and I'm trying to figure out if I'm misunderstanding something or what the deal is.No offense but the differences, licensing, explanations, how you use the two apps is a hot mess. It's waaaayyy too difficult to figure out what's going on here.

I'm attaching a screenshot where it says I'm unlicensed. Is that why I'm limited to 20?? I cant figure out how to license the community version.

To make things even more confusing, it says I have 20 items, and I *think* I have more, but I don't know how to tell if it's being artificially limited by license, or if I have only 20 devices.

Please HELP!

-Jay

Community edition is free and licensed under the AGPL.
Enterprise version is commercial.
You get a license for 20 devices when using Enterprise for free (once you activate it). You may need to log off, restart the omkd service and log back on to force the footer to update (assuming you have activated a free 20 device license).
Running Discovery and Reporting, etc from Enterprise with the free (20 device) license limits everything in Enterprise to 20 devices.
You can use Community on unlimited devices.

They are two completely different applications. They look different. You access them art different URLs.
Community - http://YOUR_SERVER/open-audit/index.php
Enterprise - http://YOUR_SERVER/omk/oae

Enterprise is designed to utilise Community and it's data - as well as build on top of it. Features like Baselines, Map, Dashboard, Scheduled Reports, Scheduled Discovery, etc are only available in Enterprise.

There also a wiki page on this - https://community.opmantek.com/display/OA/Open-AudIT+Community+versus+Enterprise and a lot of other documentation on the wiki as well - https://community.opmantek.com/display/OA/Home.

Hope that's cleared it up somewhat.
