Hi guys,

OpenAudit running on Ubunut 12.04

OpenAudit has stopped due to all of the hard drive space full. Thought this was odd, went digging, and the ibdata1 file is enormous and has caused mySQL to die.

Anyone else had this or know why this file is filling? Is this an issue with the version of OA I am on?

Thanks.

Indirectly it's related to OpenAudit, but it's a mysql issue. More info here: http://erikimh.com/how-to-shrink-an-ibdata1-file-with-minimal-mysql-downtime/

Thanks for the update. I had ended up finding this out and changed some mysql settings and followed some similar posts to change the options to create dedicated tables.

What I am finding is my alerts are the problem. I have over 90GB of alerts, yet I don't even use alerts.

I am going to make a new forum post about options for disabling this.

Cheers

You cannot disable alerts (not yet anyway), but you can delete them.
As an Open-AudIT Admin level user go to menu -> Admin -> Database -> Database Maintenance.
You will see some items you can click the delete icon for (on the right side).
