Hi,
how can I add information about network hardware to other than computer systems, like wifi routers, voip phones, etc.? Particularly, I need to include at least MAC address.
If the device is capable of snmp response, the desired information is provided automatically. However, I have not found any option to include network hardware via web interface. Am I missing something?
If necessary, I can provide a script to parse the nmap response, but I would appretiate any help with its integration to Open-audIT.

Best regards,
Cyril F.

If you run Discovery on a device (Menu -> Admin -> Discovery -> Discover a device using SNMP), and if the device is SNMP capable, you should get the results you need.

If the device is snmp capable but you aren't getting the desired result, view the device summary and on the right hand side is a question mark icon. Click it and send me the details and any other info you can think of. Would be nice to have an SNMPWalk of the device attached as well.

FYI - For nmap to get the MAC Address, the device and the server must be on the same subnet.

If the device is not SNMP capable and you want to add network interface details..... Open-AudIT has no input interface for that at the moment. Should be perfectly doable though. I'd suggest you arrange some development time sponsorship. Just email me and we can review what you need, provide estimates, etc, etc. If you decide not to proceed, obviously there is no charge :)
