Hi,

I just started using OA and so far it was really amazing how this software works. However, I have a couple of questions that needs some answer which I believe some user user can shed some light.

1. Is there a way I can delete an inventory entry? I am using the community edition of the software.
2. How can I add description for the monitor? I can't seem to manually edit and add the description.

re 1.) Yes

mark it's status as deleted and then browse to: http://localhost/open-audit/index.php/a ... on_systems

Server Info: running on a CentOS 7 vm
OA Version: 2.0.6 @ 500 devices

You can also do that (now) in the DB Maintenance screen.
Menu -> Admin -> Database -> Database Maintenance
There are options to delete any devices with a status of deleted, maintenance or retired.
Be warned - once you delete them, they are completely gone from the database.

As for the monitor description - no, it's not editable.
I'll make a note to look at it sometime.
