More of a question if it has been done or if not I'll log a request in jira.

I mainly run osx here, and we have about 50 odd users and all have single office keys, as it's well documented that you can not extract the cd key, it's encrypted. Maybe a coloum to add notes against each software install so I could enter the cd key assigned to that machine?

I would be worried about losing the key info if it was tied to audited software. Because of the way OpenAudit works one audit with "skip_software=y" and the key would be gone from the interface (although it would still be in the history records.) Mark might have better ideas but you might think about using "Additional Fields" to store the data. Just thinking out loud. There might be better ways or Mark could make something more official.

Use Additional Fields.
I have SQL for "notes" on a per device basis, but have not implemented it as yet.
