I have an instance of OA set up on a locked down LAN segment and the password was never documented. Is there an easy way to reset the admin account? It is running on a Windows OS with the latest stable version.

I know there is some data populating in the DB but can't seem to log into the web interface.

Thanks.

I don't know of an easy way. The passwords are stored in the MySQL database in the oa_user table. If you know the MySQL database password you can connect to the database and replace the existing password with the encoded password from the openaudit_mysql.sql file (which is "password"), log on and change the password. If you don't know the MySQL username and password it is available in "code_igniter\application\config\database.php"

For Windows installs, the bundled MySQL uses root / openauditrootuserpassword (for the root account, obviously) and the application uses as per JPA's comment above.
