I tried searching but didn't find this being discussed anywhere. I've got v 1.2.1 running and I'm trying to add auditing of the linux boxes. I've followed other posts which have suggested minor corrections to the audit_linux.sh script and have had mainly success with auditing fedora machines. However, on a "SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 (x86_64)" box the script runs and seems to submit on-line but the machine fails to show up.

I ran the script again with the create file option and then ran the wget post submission manually. The resulting add_system file just says "Disallowed Key Characters.". I tried to 'Add a computer (using an audit result)' and copied the contents of the xml file there. It still fails with a lot of "LibXMLError Object" errors.

Not completely sure these are correct tests so forgive me if not but there could be a problem with auditing SUSE?

There is likely an issue auditing Suse.

Your method is correct (for testing), just be aware that using the web gui to submit an audit is actually the exact same page that the script submits to - so you're essentially testing the same thing :-)

I'll take a look when I can get some time.
