Hi,

I've just been setting up an install of OpenAudit on my network. Now, all is working - except, nothing's working. ;-)

I'm not sure I even got the concept right: On what machine is the audit.vbs supposed to run on? On the server or on the client?

When I run "cscript audit.vbs" on the server, I see all machines on my domain enumerated, but no auditing is performed. I just see "Next System: xx" until all are through, then the script ends and no results show up on the web page, not even the names of the machines that were enumerated.

When I select "Audit Domain" from the web page, I get the following result:
Auditing LDAP Path: DC=(my-domain-here)
Auditing user accounts in: DC=(my-domain-here)
Updating Users table ...
Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_users_sn' doesn't have a default value Auditing computer accounts in: (my-domain-here)
Updating Computers table ...
Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value Error: 1364: Field 'ldap_computers_distinguishedname' doesn't have a default value
I've seen this error mentioned in several older posts in this forum, but it never did seem to get resolved.

When I edit the database manually to assign a default value e.g. for ldap_users_sn, the error message appears again for the next table value. I'd rather not modify any more of the database as long as I don't even know what I'm doing there.

Can anyone help me on what I should do to perform an audit?

Regards,
VGER
