The system_UUID is the unique identifier (by default).
It is taken from the motherboard.
You can also use MAC Address or System Name.

Check the audit script to set this.

Some systems have UUIDs the same as the manufacturers do not set it. We attempt to cater to this in the audit script by filtering out when not set, or when all FFFF's, etc. Can't remember what the fallback in that case is.

In theory, you shouldn't have any UUIDs the same - in theory...

Maybe try changing the unique identifier in the audit script to be the MAC Address...

To re-iterate on what Mark said
open up audit.config
look for uuid_type =
the possible options are
1. uuid_type = "name"
2. uuid_type = "uuid"
3. uuid_type = "mac"

1. = Computer Name
2. = The UUID which is set by the manufacturer and in your case you don't seem to want
3. = MAC address of the system

I have the same issue here, and after change the uuid type to uuid_type = "mac", it still overwriting. Do I need to restart something or change anything more?

Thank you!
