All,
As I have said on every post. Thank you. You save hours off of my life, and make me look like a god to my bosses :-)

I was wondering what the specific title of "Description" means in the summary page. Is this supposed to be an AD description? On my system it shows up blank. I am currently running Version 07.11.15, on an Ubuntu 6.06 LTS LAMP server. Thanks so much for help ahead of time.

OK,
Well I see now that the description is actually coming from the local PC, not the AD description field. IS there away to have that pull he description from the AD, not the Local PC?

Given that this post is 3 years old and I need an answer to the same question, did anyone ever come back with a solution?

Well, you could do several things, the most obvious would be to alter the viewdef, or better stilll create your own. This would require that you include the ldap description and its relationship to the system table in the SQL query, and then substitute that field in the view.

The second option would be to write a SQL query which copied the ldap description table in to the system description.

Both are doable, but I think the first one makes more sense, since it would be kept up to date.
