Hello all!
I have 2 installs on 1 win2k server that connect to different mysql databases in the same mysql server with different usernames and passwords. I'm running PHP Version 4.4.4. I run both instances behind SSL and password protect them with IIS's built in integrated authentication. I've further restricted the add_2.php page on both so that only certain IPs can submit data to the databases.
I setup the first instance a while back to audit my servers and that seemed to work fine. I ran the audit remotely and the instance populated nicely. Sweet.
Today I setup my other instance and started auditing my lab computers remotely and started seeing them show up in my server open-audit pages...very strange.
I've double checked that the config files are using different username/pass combos but couldn't get the audit.vbs to only add data to the lab instance of open audit. I finally went into the add_2.php page and in the mysql connect function put the mysql username/pass/database and it stopped added info to the wrong database.
So my question...
Is this normal for PHP? Is is possible that there is something mis-configured in my IIS install? I'm not a PHP guru but I wouldn't think that variables would be shared but I can't think of any other solution...and the fact that changing those variables stopped the problem I have to assume that that is issue.
If anyone runs more than 1 instance of open-audit on a server or knows what I'm doing wrong I would be grateful...
Thanks,
Justin
