Open-AudIT

I used Xampp to install everything.
Then I used the phpadmin tool in Xampp to create a database called openaudit.
How am I supposed to edit that database (or is creating it the only step required and openaudit scripts take over from there?)

Using phpMyAdmin, you can import the open_audit.sql file, which will create the tables. Then you can modify include_config_defaults.php and rename it to include_config.php. That should be it for the web server side.

Thanks Mike. That worked great. Should I be creating users with different rights to the databse within phpadmin?

It depends. If you have other databases stored in the MySQL db, you may choose to. The reason for this is if there is a vulnerability or error in the code for one application, it is prevented from destroying other databases. Open-Audit as currently coded will only use one user/password so you only need one MySQL user for Open-Audit to function.
