I was using the sourceforge version setting up and got the query error at setup2.php that it seems like a few people have gotten:

Query failed. Query was:
INSERT INTO config (config_name, config_value) VALUES ('version','06.07.25').

So I tried the SVN version and got:

PHP Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end in C:\\Program Files\\Apache Group\\Apache2\\htdocs\\openaudit\\setup.php on line 360.

I'm no php expert, but nothing seemed obviously out of whack in the code. any thoughts?

Try opening the file in wordpad and save it. That will convert it to Windows line endings. Let me know if that fixes it.

Im running Windows and got the exact same error in steo 2 of the setup process.

IIS5, W2k, PHP4.4.4, MySQL 4.1

I just copied the query and inserted using mySQL admin tools.

not sure why it happened.

I updated the script, should work now. Telling me step 2 was the ticket! I noticed two php tags were <? instead of <?php, the former not being recognized by default in many php installations, though not mine.
