Just tried that and got the same thing. I originally had an "oa" directory. I blew that away and now I have a fresh "opena" directory under my htdocs folder. Same errors.

hey matze ,

I did a post about that last week
See http://www.open-audit.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1266

It's something with the values of the list for the languages in setup.php

Matze, that will not solve that issue. The issue is that the name of the language include files was changed. If you edit your include_config file, you will see a line that specifies language. Change english to en, and your problems will be solved.

Matze, think we should have a default language as en, instead of failing?

I had bugfixed th e setup-script to language=en. At include_config.php is as default language=en

Could you please try now a new, plain installation?

Tried the new plain install and the particular error is not coming up, but the nav bar is still fubar. It looks like all the behind the scenes code:
array( "10" => array("name"=>"Hardware", "link"=>"system.php?pc=$pc&view=hardware", "image"=>"images/printer.png", "class"=>"menuparent", "childs"=>array("05"=>array("name"=>"All", "link"=>"system.php?pc=$pc&view=hardware", "image"=>"images/statistics.png", "title"=>"",), "10"=>array("name"=>"Fixed Disks", "link"=>"system.php?pc=$pc&view=hardware&category=hard_drive", "image"=>"images/harddisk.png", "title"=>"",), "20"=>array("name"=>"Partitions", "link"=>"system.php?pc=$pc&view=hardware&category=partition", "image"=>"images/partition.png", "title"=>"",), "30"=>array("name"=>"SCSI Controller", "link"=>"system.php?pc=$pc&view=hardware&category=scsi_controller", "image"=>"images/scsi.png", "title"=>"",), "40"=>array("name"=>"Optical Drive", "link"=>"system.php?pc=$pc&view=hardware&category=optical_drive", "image"=>"images/optical.png",
etc.
all down the left side of the screen.

Ah yes, the wonderful php tags error. Just so you know Matze, sometimes people have php set to not use the short tags "<?" so they require "<?php". I hit the same issue a month ago! Annoying it is, but I'll go through and see about replacing these.

So I fixed the tags. I was surprised that the only occurence of the short tag was the menu array, but that's cool. Hopefully this fixes your issue.
