Here's my experience of setting this up (I downloaded the package from the link on Mark's blog - is there an SVN repository yet?):

- The readme.txt instruction creates a database named "oa", but the database defined in "code_igniter\system\application\config\database.php" is "OAv2"
- The readme.txt could also do with a note to configure the MySql credentials in "code_igniter\system\application\config\database.php"
- The readme.txt refers to the schema file as "OAv2.sql", but it's actually called "OAv2_mysql.sql"

And here's my experience so far using it:
- The child elements of "<monitor>" in the output file are not correctly closed. They're missing the "/".

That's it for now.

Cheers, Nick.

I've been trying to install v2 after testing v1 for a lil while.

both versions lack of documentataions unfortunatly as I couldn't figure out how to add a system manually :-S

anyway, after followig the instructions (and changind the DB connection settings)
I get this errors:
[quote]Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in D:\xampp\xampplite\htdocs\OAv2\code_igniter\system\codeigniter\Common.php on line 130

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in D:\xampp\xampplite\htdocs\OAv2\code_igniter\system\codeigniter\Common.php on line 136
A PHP Error was encountered

Message: Function set_magic_quotes_runtime() is deprecated

Filename: codeigniter/CodeIgniter.php

An Error Was Encountered

as the URL changed to "HTTP://server/OAv2/index.php/login/index
I think something's wrong, althou I didn't get the chance to explore the code.

is there any chance I lack a module on the apache? something else might be wrong?
I don't see any errors in the apache's error log :S

thank you

The problem is that you are using PHP 5.3 or higher and the CodeIgniter used the public version of the alpha does not work with 5.3.

They have fixed it with the new Alpha from what I hear, but that is not available for us to try yet, so if you want to try it you will have to install a test bed with PHP 5.2.9 or lower.

Here is hoping the new Alpha comes out soon!!!!
