So, here's a short video of the current state of OAv2's web interface.
Couple of things to note...
The details of these PCs have been changed, and don't represent _actual_ PCs (to protect the innocent)...
The PCs listed don't have SQL or IIS, so they didn't get a "server" tab - this does work, though.
The editing you see is done using ajax. No actual form. Just click a 'blue' field, type and hit 'enter'. Done. Changed. This assumes you have write priv's on the machine in question. If you don't, the fields are all dark grey (as per the other fields that aren't editable).
Tags are dynamically created.
I didn't show the group creation - damn. Maybe have to do another short vid on that (it's pretty cool).

Using CodeIgniter for PHP and jQuery for javascript. This demo is running on MySQL, but it should be easy to convert for other DBs (uses the CodeIgniter abstraction).

I might have an alpha up soon. I'll start a thread for those that wish to play with it.

Here the vid - http://www.open-audit.org/OAv2.mpeg

Anyone else have issues loading the video. I guess I must be missing a certain mpeg codec.

I think the codec is FMP4 (FFMPEG) - just use VLC, it plays everything (and is cross-platform).
It was made with XvidCap on my Ubuntu 8.04 machine.

I tend to use Wink http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ for this sort of demo, cos it produces much smaller files Flashplayer (.flv )
For those having bother, try saving the link and opening it with VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Its worth taking a look, Mark has put a lot of effort into the new version, and its pretty slick. 8)

Hi Mark,

thank a lot for your hard work and for sharing its results with all of us.
The QAv2 interface looks very cool, so I believe thare're many people doing to have OAv2 installation available :-)

Thanks again!

Wow! I've reverted to a child screaming, "I want, I want, I want!!"

Will it be as easy or easier to build custom queries?

The idea for OAv2 is to make everything "easier" then Open-AudIT - including custom queries...
Having said that, I haven't given much thought to these just yet.
