Is it possible to have to different OA databases on the same server. I would like all clients to point to one db and all servers point to another.

That's no problem, you just need to set up the website twice. Different copies of the php files will allow you to point to a different db. Let me know if you need help with that.

Gee that was easy enough, so how do i go about setting the second website up? If it helps, i used the step-by-step guide using xampp to set it up.

Just copy all the files from your OA install into another folder. Example, you might have them in a folder now called openaudit. Just copy it to a folder called anything you like, provided it's not the same name :) Then modify the include_config.php to point to the second db. If you don't want to set up another db manually, just run the setup.php again in the new folder, but make sure you create a db with a new name. It will work great, and no need for multiple XAMPP installs.

So I created a new folder and the did a svn update to the folder which copied everything down since there was nothing in the folder; no problems there. Went to setup and completed the setup; no problems there. Then I clicked on the link to take me into open-audit and it said there was an update was found, I clicked on the link Click here for upgrade and then i got the following error

[quote]Upgrading to 06.09.31.Query failed: ALTER TABLE `network_card` ADD COLUMN `net_gateway` varchar(100) NOT NULL DEFAULT '' AFTER `net_manufacturer`
Duplicate column name 'net_gateway'

First question is to make sure that you are using two separate db's. If you didn't give it a new name, strange things could happen. Other than that, the upgrade shouldn't matter too much, but I'm curious why it asked for an upgrade, since it *should* have already given you the latest db. Let me know if you can thinking of anything, otherwise just test it out, see how it's working.
