Hi-

I've downloaded and setup 1.3.1. A few issues been trying to figure out.

1.
Network IP's incorrect on machines with VM's?

System Details
Hostname: machine-name
IP Address: 192.168.142.1 ( Address of VM ware Player Virt machine)

NOTE: My Local Connection is really 192.168.1.168.

2.
Device List = Name field under Group List:
http://openaudit.auxiant.com/open-audit ... ist_groups

When trying to choose a network - my local for example:
Network - 192.168.1.0 / 24
Here is the underlying link --> http://openaudit.auxiant.com/open-audit ... devices/11

Re-directs back to Main Group list?
http://openaudit.auxiant.com/open-audit ... ist_groups

Am I missing something simple here?
If so - please advise.
Please let me know if any further details are needed.

Thx.

-SP

For the IP Address issue, we can't easily determine "which ip is the correct ip" that _you_ want to see. If you email me an audit result for that particular machine, I can filter out the VM NICs (possibly). This will of course be different for different software (VMware, HyperV, VirtualBox, etc), but I can use your data as a starting point.

Other than (attempting to) filter virtual NICs, we can't decide. How do I know which IP to choose on your dual NIC'd server with IP's 192.168.10.2 and 192.168.20.10?

As for the Group display issue (the redirect), go to your user details (click your username in the top right) and make sure you have a suitable access level for the particular Group. If you're an Admin user, you should get access (automatically) to any newly auto-created Group.

Hi Mark-

Bear with me - not sure what type of audit info you are looking for?

1.
I've attached Open-audit.log, Website Discover Device - Debug & Audit_windows.vbs scan w/ debug=3 (+ cscript.exe //d windows_domain.vbs).
Is there another way to get more detailed info - export details of computer info?

Do we need this kind of VBS debugging?

' Set stdout = fso.GetStandardStream (1)
' Set stderr = fso.GetStandardStream (2)

2.
Thanks for the info - issue appears to be resolved now - links are fine(192.168.1.0, etc avail now) - Changing to Admin permissions possibly resolved after last stop/start of Apache...?

"Audit result" means running the output of an audit to a text file (instead of or in addition to posting it to the server.) This will (may) have info you don't want public so PM the file rather than post it unless you don't care.
cscript audit_windows.vbs create_file=y submit_online=n
Mark/Jpa-

Not sure if this bit helps but maybe using this info to find primary Ethernet on machine?
(Would apply to my machine's IP = 192.168.2.168 anyway)

1.
Match primary Eth with Gateway/Router?(Metric 10 consistent?)

<routes>
<route>
<destination>0.0.0.0</destination>
<mask>0.0.0.0</mask>
<metric>10</metric>
<next_hop>192.168.1.2</next_hop>
<protocol>Netmgmt</protocol>
<type>Indirect</type>
</route>

<route>
<destination>192.168.1.168</destination>
<mask>255.255.255.255</mask>
<metric>266</metric>
<next_hop>0.0.0.0</next_hop>
<protocol>Netmgmt</protocol>
<type>Direct</type>
</route>

2.
Or match w/ entry found in addresses section?

<addresses>
<ip_address>
<net_mac_address>18:03:73:D1:6C:B2</net_mac_address>
<ip_address_v4>192.168.1.168</ip_address_v4>
<ip_address_v6></ip_address_v6>
<ip_subnet>255.255.255.0</ip_subnet>
<ip_address_version>4</ip_address_version>
</ip_address>
</addresses>

Hope this helps or may lead to a solution - thx.
