When editing a Group, if the name has an apostrophe, the name disappears

Can the different types of groups be clustered in the homepage? Like the Network groups

What is the function of Locations, Organization and Connection? Can they be set dynamically to systems?

    Will there be SMTP

The sys_hw_graph_disk.timestamp is the "Submitted on" timestamp while system.timestamp is the "Audited on" timestamp. Can't do sys_hw_graphs_disk.timestamp = system.timestamp to pull latest disk audit

Can you list net_dns_host_name + net_dns_domain under Network Details? Sort of FQDN

Any progress on the retrieve Dell warranty script?

Do you need any more statistics for your records that we can submit?

Million Thanks!

I know how to fix that, consider it done.

I suppose they could. I just clustered the Network Group because we have a couple of hundred of them at work... I'll take a look at it.

Not sure what you mean by "dynamically set". You can assign an Org in the audit_windows.vbs script. You have to create the Org in the web interface, then use it's org_id value in the script. I manually create the values Location and Org in our instance and assign them to every PC we have - manually. It's not as bad as it sounds when you remember you can create them in Excel and import them into OAv2. Then you can easily edit all the Systems in a given network subnet Group at once and assign them all a Location, for example. We have ~5,000 systems and I have done this to them all. Doesn't take _too_ long. As for auto-assigning a System to an Org or Location, that would need some sort of "check these values when a System audit is submitted and if they meet this criteria, alter these other values". I have nothing in the code to support this, but I like the idea. Think of it like Groups / Reports / Rules. The Rules would be another item you could define like the other two... Will definitely give this some thought. connections are simply a list of you WAN links. I haven't completed them yet as far as reporting, etc - but they should work fine for storing the data.

For Alerts - a la RSS? I suppose one day.
[quote="el_geto"]The sys_hw_graph_disk.timestamp is the "Submitted on" timestamp while system.timestamp is the "Audited on" timestamp.
I'll need to look at this - there would be some reason I've done it like that...

Sure.
[quote="el_geto"]Any progress on the retrieve Dell warranty script?
I've done it and it works - from my side. The problem is the Dell side seems REALLY unreliable... I could put it in and make it an option I suppose. But it really ends up with more misses than hits.

Always!!!

Just a comment on the Dell warranty retrival. There seem to be two methods.
1. Soap via http://xserv.dell.com/services/assetservice.asmx
This only seems to work for USA, for UK it doesn't return the Service level code, so we don't know whether it is Parts only, Next Business Day etc, so doesn't really help a lot.
2 Screen scrape of the Dell website. This is what I have been using up to now, however Dell have changed it recently and now the date format is not consistent, so this is now not usable. You can see this if you try keep checking the same tag number, or even just flipping between the tabs on the screen.

It looks like we are stuck until the site is sorted.
