In the audit script (for Windows) if your hard manufacturer is of type "Standard disk drives", then it checks the model name. It uses the start of the model name to determine the manufacturer.

I am using the formula of "Manufacturer = Left side of Model attribute".
I have accounted for the following:
Maxtor = Maxtor
Seagate = ST
Western Digital = WDC

Anyone who has a drive NOT made by one of these manufacturers, could you let me know (here is fine) the "model" of the drive and it's manufacturer. Hopefully we'll cover all the majors...

Hi Mark,
some more disk models:

SAMSUNG HD251HJ
SAMSUNG SP4002H
Hitachi HDP725050GLA360
FUJITSU MHT2060AT

For the following hardware RAID logical drives, Windows can't see the disk manufacturer and it shows only the controller manufacturer:

HP LOGICAL VOLUME SCSI Disk Device
IBM ServeRAID SCSI Disk Device
LSI MegaRAID SAS RMB SCSI Disk Device
LSILOGIC 1030 IM SCSI Disk Device
Promise 4 Disk RAID5 SCSI Disk Device
